How the game is played…

Battle your opponents!

Faith & Flintlocks is played on a 3′ x 3′ board, with flat scatter terrain included in the box. Each round, players take turns using alternating model activations for every piece on the board. Each model has only three actions to spend in each activation, so you better make them count! For combat, attackers roll off against defenders, with the highest total winning the encounter. All rolls are made with three humble six-sided dice. You can gain bonus attack dice by engaging from the flanks, or beef up your defence dice by making use of cover.

Hunt for Relics!

You’re not just trying to kill the other team however (even though that is quite fun). Instead, victory is granted to the team who finds, and secures, the most sacred relics. Treasures which, legend has it, are buried… somewhere around here? Find a likely spot, then use one of your actions to find your reward by drawing from the Fortune Deck. But be careful – not all fortunes are good ones.

Build a unique team!

Each box contains 12 unique, beautifully sculpted miniatures utilising our own original character designs. Games are played with 2 - 6 models on each side, so there is plenty of opportunity to mix and match the models to create your own unique team. Each miniature comes with a character card showcasing the adventurer’s movement, health and unique traits. Every character comes with an initial piece of equipment too, but remember - this can be swapped out for better gear once your gang acquires new and powerful supplies.

Find a god!

Your gang of misfits will be followers of one of the 4 religious factions represented in the box. The Hantu, Cinder, Isogoreans, and the sinister Mimes. These organisations will supply your crew with their own unique equipment and abilities. These Supplies come in the form of unique Faction Decks. These decks contain skills, traits, equipment and holy relics that are tailored and thematic for each Faction. These upgrades help your characters develop and become more than simply models on a table, they gain a life and a story all of their own.

Discover your fate!

If you don’t want those stories to end messily, you had best watch out for the Fate Deck. Whenever a model has taken too much damage, they must chance their fate and see what the deck holds in store. Lucky warriors may simply gain an unsightly hobble or a fashionable scar. But if they are fresh out of luck, they may be out for the count for the rest of the round, before staggering back into the fray.
